● The CT-M500 is a wireless interface box made by Icom. ● It is designed for the Icom international VHF transceiver IC-M510J. ● This interface box can connect to the IC-M510J via wireless LAN. ● You can connect the IC-M510J and CT-M500, allowing you to connect NMEA2000 compatible devices and external speakers to the CT-M500. * NMEA2000 is a plug-and-play communication standard standardized as IEC 61162-3, used to connect marine sensors and display units on ships and boats. It is sometimes abbreviated as NMEA2k or N2K. Example: By connecting via wireless LAN, you can input and output location information and AIS to external devices compatible with NMEA2000. Additionally, you can connect a separately sold speaker for use as a RX hailer, hailer, or whistle function. ● It is waterproof to IPX7 standards. ● AIS information can be displayed not only on the IC-M510J but also on displays such as Raymarine MFDs installed on the vessel.
